ALL ABOUT BRIGHTON
THE TOWN OF BRIGHTON, was first settled by the Europeans in 1630 as a part of Cambridge. In 1873, the town of Brighton voted to annex itself to the City of Boston in Suffolk County and it soon became known as part of the neighborhood of Boston. For locals, Brighton is often referred to as one area with its sister town Brighton/Alston. It is surrounded by Cambridge, Watertown, Newton & Brookline with part of it resting along the banks of Charles River.
Brighton offers two major hospitals and of course is in close proximity to many other world renowned medical facilities, colleges and universities. With many cultural offerings such as local museums, art galleries, restaurants and shops, Brighton is a good choice for those who want to live and enjoy all that Boston has to offer.
