BOXFORD MA, is a town located in Essex County and is 24 miles North of Boston. It is considered to be an upscale, rural town with quaint, winding roads, through thick wooded areas offering a unique peace and tranquility. The newer homes are upscale with an attractive, craftsman style architecture. Boxford is a wonderful place to raise a family.
Boxford offers great public schools including Harry Lee Cole School (grades K-2) and Spofford Pond School (grades 3-6). Middle and high school students attend the highly touted Masconomet Regional School. There are many ponds, lakes, streams and beautiful trails throughout the community. There are recreational areas and ball parks, two libraries, a public works department, two post offices, a police and fire department.
Locally known commercial attractions include Benson’s Ice Cream, Paisley’s Farm Stand, Ingaldsby Farm and West Village Provisions in the town’s center. The nearby town of North Andover and other surrounding communities offer great shopping and restaurants. The town of Boxford remains to be a sought after community in which to live because of its quiet and quaint character.
